This will be the 2013 Call of Duty, after BO2. It will presumably be made by IW and maybe Sledgehammer.

Op Kingfish was an op presumably prior to TF141 comprised of SAS and Delta forces, designed to take down Makarov back in 2013, about a year after the events of MW1. I think that "MW4" might be set in this time period, post-MW1 but pre-MW2 time period. The timestamp says October 8, 2013 (or if Euro style, August 10, 2013). COD's are usually released in November, so I doubt its a release date, but I would expect to see a major trailer on this date for "MW4".

Honestly, I hope there isn't an MW4. Things wrapped up pretty well with MW3 and I think the series has run its course.

Enough with the Modern's 3 was just a pain in the *** for multiplayer.

Ill probably agree with projekt. It was a good ending in MW3, although it would be interesting what an MW4 would be about.

What I've heard is that Neversoft (From the Tony hawk games) is gonna produce MW4

I hope series have finished. They won't make a game where over half of the acting persons are in fact already deceased. Also, there's nowhere to go on.
My guess is that they will start a new line of games. Like look, there aren't any feasible games over, say, Korean War. Folklands? Persian Gulf? Cosovo? Or, VERY LIKELY, Afghanistan\Iraq wars?
Otherwise, they may think something up, entirely new and not tied to history. Like something about far future, 2100eds Probably a shooter about Police Special Squads (in US, e.g., SWAT) or something about aliens or something about a world war with China. The list of topics seems to be endless!

MW is about Iraq/Afghan wars, technically. The theme is of those wars even if its not trying to follow them realistically. Police squads and whatever is Black Ops 2, just read about it. FBI, LAPD, etc pretty sure. Military, police, federal agencies, paramilitary, mercenaries, etc. Then China conflict was Homefront, only changed to N.Korea because of PR. In fact even Black Ops 2 has Chinese special forces in it. Most of those ideas there are already covered... for ones I did not mention just look up the Tom Clancy games lol.

Also my idea of MW4, NONE of the main characters are dead. Its 2013, a year after MW1 as opposed to 2017~ like it is in MW2/MW3.

Take it for what it's worth but if it's true..I just don't know how they can continue on with the nice wrap up from MW3.

I think its going to be about OP Kingfish in 2013 like I said before, its a hole in the story that can easily be filled without beating a dead horse with MW, since those years are not covered.

If they were to make a new MW they really need to switch things up. Many of the levels are repetitive in nature (such as that one sneaky level that gets your blood flowing). Personally, I wish that they would go back to their WWII stuff (even just for one game) , that is what got me hooked on MW.

WWI COD is a much discussed topic I saw it at least 20 times at IW forums before they shut down each time it was dismissed as a bad idea because to be even remotely realistic the game would be stop-paced and nothing but trench fighting with limited low tech weapons, and many other reasons.

I'm trying to discuss the probable MW4 theme based off of what the last part in singleplayer shows: the OP Kingfish photo.

But for bolt actions my favorite was the WaW Mosin Nagant and M40A3 from MW1.

Wath they could do its actualy mix all the stories like the could do iraq afghanistan with Sandman and they could talk about Soap to and all that in one story like different things happening at the same time like at the same time that Sandman is in iraq on the command of Shepperd he will contact Soap i think that would be nice

I don't think it's gonna be post-mw1 and pre-mw2. You only found out Price is alive in MW2, and Kingfish photo already shows him in team. Something's wrong.
If it's about times between or during previous MWs, then I think it's gonna be something about those guys who went onto the offensive of Russia (in MW2 during mission briefing someone says that US Marines are counterattacking Russia). Maybe it's going to be that sort of thing.
Although I agree that the Modern Warfare's old bed story, and it's about time CoD finally dropped them. Make up something new, Persian Guld + Iraq themes are not covered, and Afghanistan's shown not from the eyes of common trooper but a covert ops dudes. Somali's not covered, too.
Most of all, massive wars that are not covered at all by CoD are Korean War and Kosovo War.
Not to mention that they can come up with entirely new storyline linked to nowadays world by only chronological setting. Make a game about German Army who are fighting a war with Brazil
