The Blue-Green rivalry, Cal Poly vs. UC Santa Barbara. The biggest college soccer rivalry in the nation (no joke), and it's right in my backyard.

Cal Poly made history by going into Santa Barbara and beating the Gauchos for the first time in 14 years (at UCSB). For the past five years EVERY game has come down to the wire, usually seperated by just one goal, resulting in fans rushing the field every time. It's just too bad I didn't go this year .

Here are some interesting facts-

Cal Poly hasn't gone into UCSB and won in fourteen years.

The total attendance was 13,467, the seventh largest crowd in NCAA history. (this game usually breaks top ten each year, they set the record two years ago i think.)

Friday's contest marked the 10th time during the previous 11 meetings between Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara that the matchup was decided by a single goal or drawn.

I did think about that... and yet still... again... NO ONE CARES

Well the team in my own backyard NDSU has kicked there *** for the last 5 years they've been division 1 so.....

Haha true but we're 7-0 this year, but yeah ndsu is a great team

it's too bad they don't play each other this year -_-
