| Found this article and thought it was worth sharing. I should point out that the author repeatedly states that he thinks the franchise is still inherently good and enjoyable but points out some really interesting trends. Thoughts? Comments? |

| I see his points. The death threat part is sad. People are sometimes shallow, very shallow.
I agree with some also, ATM, CoD is kind of boring. When I was online, I only would play with the squad, and not with randoms, due to the non-communication or the absence of friendliness. Although, Insevin & I were pretty beast at 2v2, lol! |

| Anybody else find this interesting or compelling? I'm sure there's got to be more people with opinions out there. |

| Bumping an old thread Projekt? :p I must admit I missed this one.
While I haven't played a COD game since the first MW, ths article mentions things I can relate to, some in bf3 as well. Without putting too fine a point on it, most fps games are dry, dull and plain. (This is NOT saying they are not fun) but as the author says, they lack substance really. I certainly play fewer games now than I did before bf3.
Good read. |

| Lol, wasn't that old of a thread.
I just thought that many people who played games like we do (namely FPS games) they could relate to how these games can be very addicting to the detriment of their personal lives, health, etc.
People play games for various reasons, whether it be for entertainment, relieving stress, or escape from reality. All of them, when not controlled in moderation, can have their eventual downfall for the user. |

| Very interesting,
I used to always be on COD when I was younger but after BO I felt that I was getting a bit bored of it . it's a good series but by the time MW3 was announced I had lost my love of COD |
