I know this is a really unusual thing to ask on a clan website but I have an Algebra exam coming up soon after Easter and I find Algebra really hard, I know everyone does but I find Algebra REALLY hard, my teacher never helps me and leaves me behind in class, my friend I sit next to puts me down at every opportunity and never helps me so yeah im on my own to pretty much learn the topic its self. I have already got a C in my number exam (almost a B) and I want to get at least an over all C so I can take part in my desired IT courses at college. Does anyone know any useful/effective ways I could learn/revise Algebra? Im kind of desperate here. I would really, really appreciate any advice.

Do you have any older siblings, or parents that are kinda confident with algebra? Peer help is a very helpful way to revise algebra. If not then you can look online for stuff. If it's past papers you need then http://www.emaths.co.uk/ helps a lot. Just find the right section.

Anything in particular you're unsure about? Or is it just algebra in general? I suppose you're sitting your GCSE's at this time then.

You also might ask your teacher or some friend for some after-lessons help? Also check this website:http://www.algebra.com/ I found it pretty useful. You just write the calculation and it will simplify it and solve it. Also read about it in your Maths Textbook always helps a bit. Hope i helped

Calculus BC?

I did help people out in my squad when I was in the Army. Had a few that were still in High school. I usually helped them through push ups.... right answer = no push ups, wrong answer = wishing your arms would just fall off already. Although I did make it through Algebra the only way I really did was study from the book and online until I was utterly sick of the entire subject.

google algebra questions and answers online you be surprised what you find in google search everything you need is practically in google trust me on that

Tell me the type of algebra you are taking and what you find difficult bro I will help.

I didn't realise so many of you guys had replied I appreciate it, I find the lower grade stuff hard and as the grades go up it gets easier for me to a certain extent, makes sense doesn't it? xD

I'm in the exact same boat as you, just study hard and keep studying. Do problems out of your book and go in for extra help before of after school if you can and ask questions. I don't like algebra either!

i dont know if its to late but the website, http://www.khanacademy.org/ is a really helpful website made by this guy. he made it to like help his niece study, so he uses videos and has just tons of them in almost every subject. even algebra. hope it helps.

yea i use that website too, pretty neat about how you get rewards when you watch his videos.
