So this is 2pm EST. If I'm there I can go assault/support (got a lot of points on both giving out ammo and reviving/dropping meds) or engie if there's armor. Basically I adapt to almost anything (not really good at recon) thats not being used.

Odds are they want to play in a game with air vehicles. First thing I suggest to play in metro or bazaar. If that fails then we need to practice using javilens with the recons.
