What’s up 13th? "What's up" was asked to various staff membes of the 13th; from SL to COL. This is just trial and is planned to be released weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, depending on the available information or updates. So staff, What's up?

Bronx is hard at work *cough*cough* making some modifications to the forums, groups, and titles. If you have noticed your profile title is incorrect or forums in the wrong place, please advise CoC and they’ll correct it when they can. Some have wondered where Bronx has been lately. If you live worlds apart, well, it’s because you’re up and he’s sleeping. But mostly, it’s speculated, that he’s just relaxing on his couch with his cast foot resting on the coffee table while stuffing his face with pizza. I’m sure we are all wishing you a quick recovery.

NMD and Sryan, SLs of Bravo Co., 1st Platoon (PC), are planning a match against the squads next weekend on Nov 12th at 13:00 EST. So if you have BF3 come join that match. More details can be found within the squad's forums.

Speaking of Platoons, UnlitAssassin has expressed that there isn’t a Platoon Leader for CoD. After a little research, I also wasn’t able to find one. What happened with Mr. PL of CoD, where did he go? Think he may have become MIA or POW, or perhaps Bronx slipped up on a click here or there while editing the site.

A few members of the staff have responded in regards to the decreased activity in that they are not really all that concerned about it. Vanhoucke, Foxtrot Co., 2nd Platoon (EU), adds “13th reaches its peak of activity in the summer, but after a peak comes a fall”, and “thanks to the structure the clan has, and especially its members that do stick around despite limited time, [we] managed to keep the fall from going too deep.” While Projekt3000, CO, Easy Co., 1st Platoon (360), also believes, "...We've had some really slow times in the COD division...". It has been a bit more than it was last year but, it’s due to the same reasons of lives changing, school, decreased interest in the game(s), transfer into other Platoons, among other things.

However, Cmdr.Ghost responds with, “There has been a slight surge with recruiting, but honestly not as big as I had seen with P4F”. Projekt3000, who also processes a majorty of applications, shares the same view with, "...for COD, we're getting in some recruits but not as many as I'd like to see". "I think the 13th is still a strong clan despite the slowness of recruits and general activity".

It’s assumed that, as the days progress and holidays to come, that we’ll see more recruits for different platforms since it is pricey for games now-a -days, and some PC gamers will need to upgrade their gaming rigs. But as with everything, there’s always ups and downs; it is to be expected.

Projekt3000 has been splitting his time between the CoD Division, helping the Seminoles, being a Baracuda, processing applications, trying to keep in touch with other members, and life; seems to have his hands and plate full. With all this play and work, he recognizes UnlitAssassin and Mega Max efforts in running the Predators as well as preparing for MW3 and is "...greatly appreciated". Also, "Splintercellz has been an invaluable part helping out with recruitment and staying extremely active..." and that, "My hats off to him...".

Cmdr.Ghost, would also like to commend the SS for their efforts in trying to keep activity up and suggests a forum be created for “time through history”, in which to include group pictures of players in each squad, platoon, clan, with a small wording of people’s progress and events that may have taken place. “Something like a yearbook”, he says.

On a personal note, Vanhoucke is currently seeking his Masters degree in Industrial Design, which is consuming most of his time. He still finds a little time here and there to pop on TS and/or P4F to chat with other members, keep up-to-date, process some applications, and play a few rounds but also, "...to get some feedback on some of my school assignments (thanks Toryin)”. It's a good thing the subject isn't conspiracy; you wouldn't have any time left. We wish you the best of luck Van.

A big thanks goes out to all the members of the 13th for particpating, being active, and making the 13th feel more like a community and to some, a family with friends gained, moments shared, and fun times had.

So, there are some site changes taken place, a slight decrease in activity which no one is too concerned about, a match to be held, and quite a few thanks thrown around. The floor is open to anyone to comment in regards to the above or if there is something you know, would like to share, suggest, or express concern about the 13th, feel free!
