| hey guys im using a alienware pc i had a pcv 220 sony vaio(from 2003 to 2010) got my alienware in 2010 so its just made a year yay just wondering are there any guys out there that use alienware pc? guys also just wondering how long do you think it could/will last?? |

| i've heard alienwares are pretty good... but waaaaay too expensive for what they offer it will last at least 2 good years if u ask me then u'll have to upgrade gradually |

| Well, I remember that one conversation we had, and your PC had and i7 9xx, XFire 5670s, and 6gb RAM. Yours might last another 2 years, but the main bogdown is the video card. Custom build is 1337 btw. |

| Nothing lasts long in the tech age if you're looking to play games 3 years from now in high settings at your resolution.
If your good with tech then build custom but if your not using alien ware is fine as it saves on hassle and you know it's going to be compatible and covered under warranty.
When considering the life of your computer normally a simple gpu upgrade will keep you gaming on new games, the CPU should last a bit longer especially now as games are just starting to use all four cores. |

| o cool but i dont really mind games like mw or gta xD im not really a pc gamer i got my ps3 for that
i just wanted 2 see if itll last surfing the internet and downloading songs and write cds over the years
i got this pc for mostly my dad the previous was too old for some of that |

Alienware computers are built for gaming and clocked higher even phones can surf the internet and download songs. I'm not 100% sure on alienware overclocking and cooling but running anything with higher voltages will decrease lifespan of the computer. A wiser choice would've been to go for a cheap i3 dual core build. |
