| RO2:HoS - Delayed Written by: CPL TristerImage by: Trister The release of RO2:HoS has been pushed back two weeks to September 13, 2011 in that Tripewire feels they needed the extra time to "get it right" and "add the extra pollish" that "the game and players deserve". - Tripwire wrote:
- We have to announce that the release date for Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad is shifting back two weeks to September 13, 2011. While we understand the fans are clamoring to get their hands on the game, we felt we needed the extra two weeks to get it right and add the extra polish the game (and the players) deserve.
Pre-orders have also opened as of last week and are offering some deals. Details, from Steam, are as follows: Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad - Steam Digital Deluxe Edition
- Day 1 Unlock of the Elite Assault Weapons (MKb 42(H) and AVT-40)
- Day 1 Unlock of the Semi Auto Sniper Weapons (SVT-40 and G 41(W))
- 2 playable characters for Killing Floor - WW2 Russian and German Soldier re-enactors unlocked in KF the moment you purchase
- Team Fortress 2 items - RO2 German helmet and Russian "Pilotka" hat ("vintage" if bought during pre-purchase)
- Access to the final phase of the closed beta
- Pre-purchase Discount: 10% off both versions (20% off if you own the original Red Orchestra)
Bonuses for owners of Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45:
- An extra 10% discount during pre-purchase for a total of 20% off
- Unlock the Kar98 and Mosin rifle bayonets on day 1
- Special in-game item - show everyone your loyalty to Red Orchestra with the exclusive Russian Guards Badge/German Close Combat Badge
That means that Heroes of Stalingrad is available for $35.99 and the deluxed edition is $44.99, unless you already own OstFront, which makes them $31.99 and $39.99 respectively. Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 is available on Steam currently for $9.99. The Spec for RO2:HoS game are as follows: Minimum:

| I updated the image after you inquiring about the delayed date. Figured since you didn't even read the first line, minus well put it right up in the image.
Anyway, I figured in was worthy to write up since games getting delayed is never good. Which suggests there was a lot of problems in the beta testing. Many may not care for this game, but it's news. And from comments made by outsiders, news was something that was missing from this site even though it's provided on 100's of other websites. Websites that solely run to put out this information, some even paid too. Plus we needed something new other than the 13th's 2nd birthday of 2 weeks ago. |
