Greetings,
As you guys probably know, it is Memorial Day 2011. This is a special day to commemorate the fallen US Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen who have given the ultimate sacrifice to their country. As you go out and about this day, think of those who have served your country well. Enjoy the freedom your forefathers fought for and the freedom your brothers and sister continue to fight for.
Here at the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, we do appreciate, support, and admire all the things our Military Personnel do everywhere in the World. Let them know you care. Give them a call, tell them, "Thank you," and pray for them that God will have a hand on them and guide them wherever they go and in whatever they do.
About a month ago, the the night/early morning of May 1st, the World found out about the mission that led to the death of Osama Bin Laden. It is a big step toward the end of Terrorism. Our Military Personnel do an excellent job everywhere in the World. So again, let them know you care for them.
And while this holiday is for US Military Personnel, I want to extend this to all Military Personnel fighting for freedom everywhere.
Sincerely, COL Bronx

The words in this song means a lot, and was played when I was at Arlington National Cemetery one day.
We are here today because of the men and women who fought for us, so we could live our lives in peace. Let's honor them for their courage, bravery, and sacrifice.

Yes, indeed splinter.
BTW I was away yesterday and part of today. I was in Fort Lee, VA seeing my brother and the rest of his Navy buds graduate from Culinary Specialist school. Watching those guys in the graduation video and just talking with them really does brighten your day and it makes you feel warm inside about these guys and the Military.
I got to see him today and then later tonight he is due to ship out to Basic Enlisted Submarine School in Groton, CT.
