Is anyone thinking about getting Brink?

I don't know about you guys but it looks pretty good IMO.

Any haters of it?

I'm not familiar with that game. What is it?

I really want to get it, great game by the looks of it and have been excited for it since last year.. But my wallet says otherwise...

this game looks brutal but im not made of money and the psn is going to still down when this game is gonna coming out, but maybe..... is this game or Infamous 2 dont know what to choose

I'll hire Brink before I get it, but it looks like that I'll be probably buying it.

IGN already gave the game a 6 out of 10 without even playing the multiplayer. The guys at gameinformer said the game is so mp intensive that it wouldn't be fair to just review it based off of single player and until they can actually get their hands on the mp

Joystiq gave it a 2/5 which translates to 4/10. 1up gave the game a D. I guess I am glad I stayed away from this one.

Hmmm i dont always go with what the critics say i like to try it myself

sure, thats why a lot of people dont give a chance to new "innovators" games cause the puntation that some pageS give to them, i bet that if they called it "call of brink", the stores will be full of people and ign gives it a 1000/10 WTF!!!!!!!!!

I might not hire it till PSN comes back, which will be a while still, I guess I'm back to New Vegas and FF13.

I have a buddy who claims GameStop suggested that it wasn't too late to cancel the pre-order as the game sucks. So, he did. Maybe I'll wait for GameFly to rent.

I know this thread is basicallly dead, but since the game has been out a while, what did most of you that purchased or played it think?


Me personally after two weeks i just gave it to my brother. The first couple of days i loved the idea, loved the character personalization, and overall it was sweet. When i moved on to the multiplayer, a couple of things bothered me.

1) The lag was unbearable (idk if the patch really fixed it or not cause i haven't played since)
2) The overall repetiveness was didn't hold my attention at all
3) Although it is a heavily team oriented style of play, i didn't have a single online friend who actually bought it to play with.
4) In order to unlock any and all weapon attachements, you have to complete skill/training task...rather get the unlocks through pwnage on multiplayer.

A couple more things i actually did like about the multiplayer was
1) The importance of teamwork to accomplish goals within the match
2) The whole perk system


Overall, i would give the game for creativeness, an 8 out of 10, but an overall representation of the game, a 6 out of 10

My bro played this game, said that was like Battlefield, tho with a lot of fantasy cr...unnecessary things Worth trying out if you like BFH or Alliance of Valiant Arms

I got it, and I must say its not bad. Its got its issues but if u got an extra 60 bucks I suggest u try it.
