Probably one of the best mini-series I've seen to date. Extremely well done and incredible acting.
Most of the WWII veterans are pushing the century mark in age so seeing a true hero like this pass on is very saddening. RIP Major Winters.
Just a couple days ago I ran into a man who was a Korean War veteran. I shook his hand and looked him in the eye and said, "Thank you..truly thank you for the sacrifice you and so many others made."
I truly look up to these guys because they volunteered for something I couldn't. They've made incredible sacrifices (including death) to keep our country the way it is today.

A friend of mine served under Maj. Winters in the Screaming Eagles. Truly a great hero.

Here was a great leader. This is what one of his men said:
Floyd Talbert, wrote a letter to Winters from his hospital bed to express appreciation for his leadership in battle. "You are loved and will never be forgotten by any soldier that ever served under you," Talbert wrote. "I would follow you into hell."

A true hero to the men of Easy Company, Band of Brothers was an excellent picture, they also created another good mini series called the Pacific.
