I have received a Private Match - Clan Challenge from XBL GT: xD12x Dx3x4xTxH Clan Link: http://www.team-d12.com/

He said they are interested in a 8 vs 8 private Rush match on any map. Our clans would both agree to some rules to yet be clarified. We would attempt to schedule the match on a practice night at 9:00pm EST.

I voted for all nights + Other since I should be able to schedule a different night/time if needed.

I voted for Tuesday, hopefully we can get enough people to do this.

This sounds great. This could be the big break that some of us have been looking for. Anyways, any night does good for me. How are we going to get the roster setup for the 8 who will play?

I voted for Tuesday as Tuesday is one of my days off.

I guess i am the first Thursday vote.

Would love to play but Tuesdays tend to be a busy night for me.

I'm more for a Thursday or a Friday night, those nights are easier. Other nights I might just too busy.

i'm down for this. i had another clan challenge me and 13 after i knifed him and was on top of the boards. i was playing solo, but i forget who it was though. it was a while back.

There is no planned date yet. Based on the interest so far, I would say maybe we shoot for next Thursday Night. I was planning to wait a couple more days to allow for more folks to vote before I start the discussion with the Challenger. He invited me into his clan party chat last night, so I visited for a moment. They sound like US so it might be a cool match. I'll keep you posted.

I voted for Sunday, that day I have nothing going on but I'll definitely try to go other nights if its more convenient for the clan

Given our upcoming match, here's some tentative Clan Challenge rules that I've come up with for the 8 vs. 8 Rush Match.

Rules

1. A match is played over two maps, one picked by each clan in the challenge form. Each clan will play one time as attackers and one time as defenders on both maps. The clan with the lower ranking on the ladder can choose which map is played first. Each clan may choose which side they start on their opponents map.

2. Matches are played with a Best of 3 system. In order to win a match, a team must win 3 rounds, where a map consists of two rounds - attack and defense. If the teams are tied after two maps (4 rounds), a third map must be chosen from the map list. Whoever wins the first round on the third map is the winner of the match.

3. Only 8 vs. 8 matches can be played in the BFBC2 Rush Match. Playing with a different team size will result in a match cancel.

It's forbidden to kill opponents or to destroy buildings/M-COMs with C4, but it can be used to destroy smaller objects like bridges, trees, MG nests. Using forbidden weapons will lead to a default loss of the match.

I don't disagree with you, but we will consider playing within a determined set of rules when matching up against other Clans.

Why? Because our Kung Fu is Strong.

Wtf why are 4x scopes not allowed? And with all the "You can't use the destructible environment" stuff this is looking suspiciously like they are trying to turn it into more call of duty and less battlefield.

Let's see what rules they send us before we get our "collective" panties in a bunch.

Maybe they'll want to have a Knives Only match.

I'd like to add some revisions.

No AN-94/M60

No C4 - AT Mines on M-Com

C4 kills are okay, for building clearing - LOS clearing.

The other clan said they'll play by whatever rules we want or with no rules.

The 360 Squad Leaders and I will work out the rules for this challenge. We can open the rules issue to a wider debate for a future challenge match.

I'm not trying to exclude members from the process. Rather I am just trying to get this baby rolling with a minimum effort.

If we are not going to allow the M60 we should also consider not allowing the 1911. No 40mm grenades. No c4 to Mcomms is good. Also the recon should be allowed whatever scope that want.
