Activision has announced their official MP reveal for COD: Ghosts on August 14th at 10am PST.
Obviously this won't be the deciding factor for a lot of people when it comes to how the game will play and how everything will run once it's released. However, I'm curious to see what Infinity Ward is going to do outside of the MW series now with their MP reveal.
To be honest, it'll be a deciding factor for me. Although their fanbase and other gaming communities have trashed the franchise, I won't do so yet. Call of Duty still brought me the second best gaming experience in a franchise, first being Battlefield, and Infinity Ward didn't do justice in Modern Warfare 3, but I won't disband COD: Ghost; could be a potential revive.
After all, Battlefield 3 had a lot of flaws, and yet, people didn't throw away the franchise so easily as people did with Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops.

bo2 sp was more promising, but the MP the only thing i found was a pain was the constant unbalance weapons in the game it made it hard to do S***.
The other thing i noticed, that they took away the ability to play with different people.
like if you were in the usa you played with the usa unless your friend like skar that is from Russia and you joined up with him and you could play EU
I didn't like the country restriction at all. I honestly liked the EU Servers better than the NA >.> p.s i like to hear people rage in different languages.
Maybe ghost might fix this issue, but I don't know. I already have the game(Thanks Skar). =D

They added a dog. It sounds like you've swallowed a load of marketing talk and coughed it back out.
Each new Call of Duty is meant to be the next level of Call of Duty, with a whole new experience. But the fact is, they haven't been.

Sorry smerkii, but that took me a while to read...I don't care if you don't use proper grammar, but thinks like spelling "franchize." Really...
Anyways, Modern Warfare 2 doesn't even come close to Modern Warfare or World at War.
The only reason Call of Duty actually sells so much, to be quite honest, is because it is hyped. Just because a game sells a lot, doesn't make it a great game, or better than any others. At E3, Battlefield 4 showed off so many critical components and features that were innovative, such as the 5-man squad, whereas for COD: Ghost, they showed a cliche mission that is similar to a mission in almost every Call of Duty title. In that mission, it was a two-man team, attacking a huge enemy naval force, and the all-knowing leader leads you to a successful mission, until your life is in danger by debris crashing onto you...

Also, saying BF4 is innovative may be a bit too far. They haven't really innovated, but what they have done is listened to the community and made so so many improvements to the game, and nice features. The only innovative stuff really is the Tablet/Mobile support and geo-leaderboards/missions.

But regardless, I do hope the MP introduces some new, yet good, features. Wasn't really a fan of the deathstreaks introduced in MW2, or the point system in BOII.

Lets see what the MP trailer reveals. The SP missions are probably always going to be very similar but I don't really care about that.
If the dynamic environments like what they put into the Skyscraper pre-order map proves to be all that it's cracked up to be, it will definitely add a refreshing element to the franchise.

In my opinion, it has copied a lot of similar mechanics that are present in Battlefield.

Thanks for posting this Chaos, literally got to see the reveal and had to run out the door because I was going to be late for work, lol.
I did notice that the mantling and leaning mechanics were very Battlefield-like but it looks pretty decent in my opinion.
I'm glad to see they've completely taken out deathstreaks, everyone hated those. Also, they've got some really cool game-types like Search and Rescue (SnD variant) as well as Cranked which looks really fun to play.
They've brought back the strike packages from MW3 which is good and bad because the Support streak had some OP killstreaks in it but the Specialist strike package was awesome when you gained all the perks in the game.
They also said they've added over 30 new weapons and you can build a squad of up to 10 soldiers which is a nice change of pace. I really like that you can play against the squad you've build in the "Squad Matches" game mode and you can also play against someone else's squad they've built as AI and still gain multiplayer XP. They've described playing against the AI as them "halo jumping, corner camping, and quickscoping" so it sounds like they've really upgraded their AI.
Overall, I think I'll be enjoying this new COD. It looks promising, especially with the new game types and weapons.

I watched the Ghosts trailer and I don't know whether I walked away more disappointed or excited.
imo Modern Warfare 2 still holds the best graphics in the CoD series and so far I didn't see anything that was similar to it, let alone surpass it. It looks like they've added more debris and terrain but the engine looks a bit "sharper" somehow. I was excited about the character clothes customization but if the clothes doesn't look distinct from other clothing due to the engine's graphic system that makes everything look practically the same, then I will have to hold out a few more weeks after launch before I get it.
I'm certainly happy that they've brought back the strike packages from Modern Warfare 3 and finally started working on bots in multiplayer, but other than that I can't really say that its a better improvement over Modern Warfare 3, more like Modern Warfare 3 with some addons. The leap between MW2 and MW3 was a bit big with the whole strike packages and weapon proficiencies, but I don't feel a similar leap with MW3 and Ghosts other than editing your character and (maybe) a properly made bots game mode like Combat Training from Black Ops.
Anyways that's my opinion. Once its out though, I'll get rid of Black Ops II.

yea i have a feeling there going to do an update or something and its going to ruin the game. But based off the trailer it dose not look that bad. Except the sniper scopes they look disgusting!
