Jaw dropping mp footagecaside, my only concern at this point is that they've only shown us the old red dots and holographic sights. I want my Aimpoint CompM4. At least I know that I'll get my AK5D, it was shown in the second singleplayer trailer.

Next gen consoles will have 64. I think current gen will be limited to 24 again

Since BF4 runs dedicated servers ... It's a server quality limitation NOT console generation issue

I thought the reason for current gen consoles being 24 players was that the hardware couldn't handle it?
Nothing to do with the servers.

Saw the footage earlier, before you put it up. It is extremely beautiful. In addition, that is an Xbox One developer kit, according to Battlefield on Twitter.
Throughout the gameplay, apart from the amazing environmental destruction available, I was looking at the firearms, to determine class balance, since we had a recent topic on that.
From what I see, the player we are seeing is using a CZ-805, a Czech assault rifle, equipped with a 40mm grenade launcher, and low-power dual sights. In addition, the player is a Medic, according to the, "+" icon. This means that the Medic might be the same as Battlefield 3, and in this case, it is interchangeable between a demolition-assault kit, and a combat-medic kit.

It's probably scripted like the caspian border tower, but it's still awesome.
I thought that too but then I looked at the tickets and there was over half of the game left to play. Don't you guys think they'd leave something like that until the end since there is a flag up there?

Well if you could destroy buildings then wouldn't you get trolls deliberately trying to bring Shanghai down to the ground? And surely you can't get that level of destruction online and be able to interact with it.

MASSIVE BATTLES Take part in massive 64-player battles on next-gen platforms and PC, while 2 Commanders can join the fight to help turn the tide.
So that would mean current-gen platforms won't be 64 (maybe 32 but I'm guessing it'd be the same as before, 24) implying this due to local hardware, or the lack sufficient thereof.
Servers are as expendable as PCs. Centralized (as in few, well far less servers than players) servers can be updated more rapidly or more often than the hardware (consoles) running on the local side.

The reason I said 24 is because the leaked images showed 24 man servers in the browser list.
